Oh wow...

Even if you don't like NASCAR... this final race for the Nationwide Championship is way too exciting!!! But why do this to me just before Alabama kicks off? I may not survive this night :)

*Update* Clint Bowyer wins the 2008 Nationwide Championship by a 21 point margin... truly a nail biter!!

Before we bring on the Tide, I've just got to say since this is the last year for their sponsorship of JRMotorsports... is this Navy car the bomb or what??? I'm going to miss seeing it on the NW 88 car:

Awe, cutest puppy…

I don’t know how many of you that visit my page ever scrolls down to the very bottom and looks at the “Daily Puppy” – but if you don’t, you should. Today’s is one of the cutest I have seen yet.

Yes, I realize it is Saturday. Yes, I realize it’s only just after 7 am and is already my second post. And yes, unless I get motivated to get up and going, there could be a few more. It’s been a long, tiring week and I am enjoying the rest right now. On the other hand I have too much on my mind to sleep, so… here we are!! Randomly rambling :)

Thanksgiving…

As we near this special holiday, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about many things. I realized that I spend more time lately crying and being sad than anything else. I really wish it wasn’t that way. I wish I could do something to change things. I wish I had some kind of magic. But I don’t.

What I do have is the comfort of Jesus Christ, the support of my family and friends, and the peace of knowing that everything will be alright. And through it all, I am so thankful for all the wonderful things God has blessed me with in my life!!

So even when we are sad, we can still be thankful for the things that make us cry. After all, they are part of God’s blessings too!! And He is in control, if we just let go and let Him.

Indulge me, please…

This week I’ve been trying to get things done at work since I’ll be working out of town Monday – Wednesday of next week at a radiothon. I’ll be driving back in from out of town early Thursday morning to the office for a day full of meetings, not to mention the pile of work that is inevitable after three days out.

And FYI – just to name a few, the radiothon for me consists of sitting in a folding chair at a folding table, working on my laptop doing data entry. Constantly getting up and down to help with volunteers, radio talent and running errands. All of this takes place in the middle of a mall. Each day begins at about 5:30 am since we go on the air at 6 am; we go off the air at 6 pm so the day doesn’t end until around 6:30 pm. The last day we have to break everything down so it’s more like 7 or 7:30 pm before we get out of there.

For the past three days, with everyone at the office knowing I’m out most of next week (and having known this for weeks); they begin to panic with each passing day. So… the following – as crass as it may be, and if it offends I apologize – is pretty much how I feel right now :) My guess is you’ve all been there and felt the same way at one point yourselves :)
